Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization-ACSTO
School Choice Arizona

Individuals can qualify for an Arizona tax credit by making a contribution to a qualified school
  • An Arizona tax credit is subtracted directly from the income tax owed to the state of Arizona
  • Contributions may be identified for a particular school and/or recommended for a specific student
Tax Credit #1: ORIGINAL
The Arizona Private School Tuition Tax Credit Law, A.R.S. Section 43-1089, allows a single taxpayer to make a donation to ACSTO for up to $555 and a married couple filing jointly to donate up to $1110 for 2018, and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit against the taxpayer’s Arizona state income tax.

Tax Credit #2: OVERFLOW
In addition, Arizona signed the new Overflow (aka: PLUS or Switcher) tax credit into law in 2012 as A.R.S. 43-1089.03, allowing donors to receive credit for a contribution over and above the Original tax credit law. The Arizona taxpayer must first be able to donate the $1110 (married) or $555 (single) maximum for the Original tax credit in order to donate an additional amount to the Overflow/PLUS tax credit up to another $552/$1103.

              Institute for Better Education

The Institute for Better Education (IBE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and nonpartisan organization. We are committed to removing any financial obstacles that stand in a family’s way of providing K-12 education for their children and their unique needs. IBE accomplishes this through the Arizona private school tax credit program. We believe parents are the best resource a child has when determining which school will be the perfect fit for their child. Parents have been able to turn to the Institute for Better Education since 1998 if the right school to fit their child’s needs is not within their financial reach. IBE is honored to play a part in making a real difference in the lives of Arizona children.

Cochise Christian School Tuition Organization - CCSTO

Cochise Christian School Tuition Organization (CCSTO) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and was incorporated in 2002.
Our purpose is to assist children in receiving an Arizona tuition scholarship to attend the Christian school of their choice.
CCSTO is authorized by the State of Arizona to offer the four tax credit programs currently available:
Individual, Overflow/Switcher, and Corporate Low Income and Corporate Disabled/Displaced.
Generous donors give to CCSTO and receive a dollar-to-dollar tax credit.  The donations are used for tuition scholarships
for K-12 students attending Christian schools in Arizona.
Don't miss the opportunity to take advantage of the private school tax credit, receive a federal deduction, and donate
to a child's education - all at the same time!
If you are a Corporation, Sub Corp or LLC filing as a Corporation, you may be eligible to take a Corporate Private Tax Credit.
Please review the information on the Corporate Tax Credit tab.

Empowerment Scholarship Account Program

Education savings accounts (ESAs) allow parents to withdraw their children from public district or charter schools and receive a deposit of public funds into government-authorized savings accounts with restricted, but multiple, uses. Those funds—often distributed to families via debit card—can cover private school tuition and fees, online learning programs, private tutoring, community college costs, higher education expenses and other approved customized learning services and materials. Some ESAs, but not all, even allow students to use their funds to pay for a combination of public school courses and private services.
